Pricing guide
ActiveCampaign pricing, explained without the sales pitch
Plans scale by contact count, not just features. Here is how to estimate your real cost before you commit.

ActiveCampaign sells its marketing platform in tiers. Every tier is priced by the number of contacts in your account, so the same plan can cost very different amounts for a 1,000-contact list and a 25,000-contact list. Annual billing is discounted compared to monthly.
Important: list prices change frequently and vary with promotions. We describe structure here; confirm current numbers on ActiveCampaign's pricing page before buying.
How the tiers differ
| Tier | Built for | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Solo operators sending newsletters | Email designer, basic automations, forms |
| Plus | Small teams that sell | Landing pages, CRM pipeline, conditional content, integrations |
| Pro | Growing marketing teams | Predictive sending, split-testing automations, attribution |
| Enterprise | Larger organizations | Custom reporting, dedicated support, advanced security |
What actually drives your bill
- Contact count. Clean your list regularly; unsubscribed contacts you keep still count toward some limits.
- Users/seats. Higher tiers include more users; extra seats can add cost.
- Add-ons. SMS, extra sales features and premium support may be billed separately.
Which tier should you start on?
Most small service businesses get the most value from the mid tier, because the CRM pipeline and conditional content let one person run nurture sequences that would otherwise need a sales rep. Start there on a trial, build one real automation, and only upgrade when you hit a specific limit.
Cost-saving checklist
- Choose annual billing once you're confident in the tool.
- Archive or delete cold contacts every quarter.
- Use the trial to rebuild your single highest-value workflow before migrating everything.
